From 10.00am to 4.00pm there will be a static display of GoldWings on the West Pier and in Foreshore Road. The Mayor of Scarborough will be visiting to address the riders and to judge his favourite trike.
The Mayor will also draw the event’s raffle just before 3.30pm and winners will be contacted through their mobile numbers.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance staff will be there with a gift shop and tombola stall so there’s plenty to see.
At 4.00pm the display ends and riders disperse for tea. West Pier is then temporarily closed to pedestrians and prepared for mustering the parade as bikers return from 6.30pm onwards.
Fancy Dress Riders
It’s always been a tradition for many riders to arrive in fancy dress giving the display a carnival atmosphere. Those in fancy dress during the daytime will be happy to have photographs taken with kids and adults, all you need to do is ask.
The main purpose of fancy dress is to attract the spectators onto West Pier to see some of the country's best GoldWings and to chat with the owners who have travelled all over Europe on their bikes. You could also help raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance at the same time, so please make a donation, no matter how small, in one of the collection buckets.
If you ride a Honda GoldWing you are very welcome to come and display your bike.
Simply ride to one of the display areas and register your bike. Trikes park on West Pier and solos along Foreshore Road. It’s as simple as that.
